Day 1: Welcome to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca empire Our staff will be waiting for you upon arrival at the airport to welcome you and transfer you comfortably to your hotel in the city of Cusco. Once installed, you will have the rest of the day free to rest and acclimatize to the altitude of the city, located at 3,400 meters above sea level. We recommend taking things slowly and avoiding intense physical exertion. If you feel energetic, you can take the opportunity to tour the beautiful historic center of Cusco and its surroundings on your own. Stroll through the majestic Plaza de Armas, discover beautiful colonial churches such as the Cathedral and La Compañía de Jesús, and explore the traditional San Blas neighborhood with its stone streets. Day 2: Excursion to Maras and Moray on ATVs Get ready for an exciting excursion aboard off-road ATVs to the incredible archaeological sites of Maras and Moray. After breakfast, we will depart towards the fascinating circular platforms of Moray, used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory to acclimatize various crops in different microclimates. You will be able to admire up close this magnificent system of terraces that sank more than 150 meters, forming a gigantic natural amphitheater. We will continue our ATV adventure to the Maras salt mines, where you can see hundreds of small pools built by the Incas for salt extraction and that are still used in the same way after hundreds of years. Day 03: Tour to Vinicunca Mountain - Mountain of 7 Colors Experience the excitement of visiting Vinicunca Mountain on this incredible tour from Cusco. Early in the morning, between 4:30 and 4:45, we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the approximately 2-hour trip south, arriving at the district of Cusipata in the province of Quispicanchi. There you can enjoy a comforting breakfast to energize yourself. We will continue 1 more hour to the bus station at the foot of the Vinicunca mountain, where we will begin a 4 km walk in total. Then you will begin the 1 hour and 30 minute ascent on foot to the summit of the Mountain of 7 Colors, whose real name is Vinicunca. Upon reaching the top, you will be rewarded with an extraordinary panoramic view of the Andes with a wide range of colors that give this mountain its name. Our guide will offer an explanation on the spot before heading back along the same route to the starting point. There we will take transportation back to the restaurant in Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch.
