City Tour in Arequipa

City Tour in the City of Arequipa
Introduction
Welcome to the City Tour in the beautiful city of Arequipa! We are excited to be your guides on this adventure that will take you to discover the cultural, historical and architectural treasures of this white and charming city. We hope you enjoy this tour and take away unforgettable memories of the White City of Arequipa!
Itinerary
Between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., passengers will be picked up at their respective hotels. Later, we will head towards the charming districts of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara, where we will enjoy spectacular views of the city, framed by the majestic Chachani, Misti and Picchu Picchu volcanoes, as well as its beautiful countryside, which still preserves its ancient pre-Inca terraces, and of course, the meandering Chili River. Our next destination will be the Yanahuara district. In its main square, we will find a church built in 1750, with a baroque style façade. However, the most notable thing here are the arches that frame beautiful panoramic views of the city and that are engraved with texts that reflect the philosophy of life and inspiration of the inhabitants of Arequipa. Yanahuara is also a living example of colonial Arequipa, with its picturesque and narrow streets, as well as its mansions built in ashlar. Later, we will return to the historic center of the city to visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina. This place is an architectural treasure that spans four centuries of Arequipa history. Its cells, narrow alleys, cloisters filled with colorful flowers and fresh murals painted on the walls will transport visitors through time. The narrow alleys lead to various parts of the convent, passing through charming corners and spaces used for resting and sleeping, which still retain their original furniture. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in history and lose themselves in the charm of the past. We will continue our tour visiting the Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful in all of Peru. Here, we will find the Jesuit Church of the Company, which stands out for its impressive façade that reflects mestizo architecture. In addition, we will explore its cloisters and dome. As a culmination, we will visit the Casona Tristán del Pozo, an emblematic example of the city's colonial architecture. Finally, return to the Hotel. This City Tour is an opportunity to learn about the historical and cultural wealth of Arequipa, as well as its impressive natural environment.
