ITINERARY - Day 1: Cusco - KM 82 - Wayllabamba – Yuncachimpa
Today, we begin our exciting journey along the Inca Trail to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu in Peru.
5.30 AM Pick up from the Hotel to begin our exciting adventure from the captivating city of Cusco.
We will head to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas aboard a tourist transport. Before reaching the starting point at KM 82, we will make a brief stop in Ollantaytambo, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and prepare for the day that awaits us.
At KM 82, marked as the official start of the renowned Inca Trail, we will meet the rest of the group and complete all the necessary registration procedures. To begin this exciting adventure, we will cross the majestic Urubamba River (2200m).
For the first day, you'll encounter an easy-to-travel trail, making it a great warm-up for what's to come in the following days. In the Miskay area, we will enjoy a delicious lunch on the banks of a peaceful stream, while immersing ourselves in fascinating information about the archaeological complex of Llactapata. Later, we will continue our hike towards Wayllabamba (3100m/10170f) and ascend to Yuncachimpa (3300m/10826f), where we will establish our camp for the night.
From this point, we will enjoy a magnificent view of the enigmatic Nevado de Verónica, which stands majestically on the horizon.

Day 2: Yuncachimpa - Llulluchapampa - Warmiwañusca - Pacaymayo - Runkurakay – Chaquicocha
Breakfast
On the second day, you will enjoy a day of free walking, which means that everyone can advance at their own pace. Of course, we will meet during the short breaks and we will see each other during the climb up the stairs. In the early hours of the morning, the trail will take us through the impressive Llulluchapampa Valley (3850m/12631f).
For the first 3 km, you will encounter a series of steps, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the lush beauty of the rainforest and enjoy the calming sounds of the water. From Llulluchapampa, continue on the trail for 2-3 hours until you reach the highest point of this section, known as Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman's Pass) (4200m/113780f). This ascent section is considered the most challenging part of the Inca Trail.
After taking a short rest at the top, you will continue your hike with a long, steep descent towards the Pacaymayu River (Rio del Amanecer), passing through the Runkurakay Pass (3050m/10007f) before arriving at our camp, known as Chaquicocha a (3650m/11975f). Here you will have the opportunity to relax after a challenging day while marveling at a breathtaking view of the majestic mountains that surround us.

Day 3: Chaquicocha - Phuyupatamarca – Wiñayhuayna
Breakfast
The third day has an incredibly beautiful experience in store for you, with notable changes in the ecosystems as you advance towards the lush tropical forest of Wiñaywayna.
During the hike, you will pass two small lakes at the top of the second pass (3950m/12960f). You will experience a gentle ascent through enchanting cloud forests and pass through a small Inca tunnel before reaching the third pass (3700m/12140f), from where you can enjoy a stunning view of the Urubamba Valley.
The closest settlement is Phuyupatamarca, known as the "Town above the clouds" (3600m/11811f). Here, you'll find a well-preserved archaeological site that includes a series of Inca baths, a testament to the exceptional engineering prowess of the Incas.
On the way, we will go through another Inca tunnel before reaching the ruins of Wiñaywayna, whose name means "forever young" (2650m/8694f). The path, previously formed by Inca stairs, transforms into a winding path that leads to a building with a red roof and white walls, our last camp. This place also offers hot water and bottled drinks for your enjoyment.

Day 4: Wiñayhuayna – Inti Punku – Machu Picchu guided tour – Cusco
